Our young players are set for an international friendly at the MOL Academy on Wednesday afternoon. The squad, made up mainly of players from DAC U17, U19 and DAC 1904 Junior, will compete as DAC U20 against FC AD Duha. Kick-off is scheduled for Wednesday, 7 October at 15:00 on Pitch 5 at the MOL Academy.
Alongside their domestic league commitments, our young players will have another opportunity to gain valuable international experience. The squad for Wednesday’s friendly will consist mainly of players from DAC U17, DAC U19 and DAC Junior, with DAC Junior coach Dávid Macsicza taking charge of the team.
Our opponents, FC AD Duha, have a squad made up mainly of young players from Burkina Faso and Ivory Coast. Several of them have ties to both countries, similar to DAC first-team player Julien Eymard Bationo, who holds both Ivorian and Burkinabé nationality. A number of FC AD Duha players have already had trials with European clubs, including Jorex Kouamé, who spent time on trial at DAC last year.
There are already links between FC AD Duha and our club. Rachid Barro, a DAC player currently on loan at FC ŠTK 1914 Šamorín, came through the FC AD Duha academy.
The visitors arrive in Dunajská Streda as part of a series of friendly matches in Europe. They travelled to Salzburg on Friday and recorded a 1-0 win over Red Bull Salzburg U18 on Saturday. After facing DAC, they will continue to Germany, where they will play Bayer Leverkusen U19 on 12 October.
Wednesday’s friendly will provide a valuable test for both teams. Our young players will have the chance to face an opponent from a different footballing background and gain further international experience, while the coaching staff will have another opportunity to assess players from the U19 and Junior squads in a match environment.
The international friendly DAC U20 vs FC AD Duha will kick off on Wednesday, 7 October 2026 at 15:00 on Pitch 5 at the MOL Academy.
